Located in Waterbury, Connecticut, Post University is a for-profit, private post-secondary institution that was founded as Post College in 1890. Between 1990 and 2004, Post University was named Teikyo Post University and was affiliated with Teikyo University, an institution in Tokyo, Japan. Post University offers more than 25 bachelor's and master's degrees in online, evening, and day formats. The school also operates three satellite campuses in Wallingford, Danbury, and Meriden. Post University Application Requirements
Those pursuing an online graduate degree must complete an application and sign and submit a transcript request form to authorize Post to request transcripts from all previously attended institutions. Teachers in the Master's of Education program must also have one to three years of work experience to be admitted.
Tuition and Financial Aid
The credit-hour rates for online graduate programs vary from program to program. The master's degree in accounting costs $625 per credit hour, and the master's degree in business administration costs $730 per hour. Graduate degrees in human services, higher education administration, public administration, and education cost $570 per credit hour.

Master of Science in Accounting
The 30-credit online Master of Science in Accounting degree fulfills the educational requirements for students to sit for the Certified Public Accountant exam in most states. Graduates may also choose to obtain an entry-level accounting position or advance to a managerial role as a financial analyst, corporate controller, certified public accountant, or auditor. The degree is offered fully online and focuses on classes in innovation, creativity, and leadership to create well-rounded accounting professionals. Master of Science in Counseling and Human Sciences
Graduates who earn an online Master of Science in Counseling and Human Sciences from Post University are prepared for counseling human services positions in a variety of settings, including geriatric facilities, child and family service centers, halfway houses, correction establishments, and mental health facilities.
